Summary
Your day- to-day activities will include:
1. Provides daily support to the production team leader regarding issues relating to products, processes, materials and personnel in order to achieve departmental Key Performance Indicators (KPI).
2. Optimises the allocation of production resources to ensure daily schedule attainment.
3. Provides training to employees on work methods and cross training to team members as required.
4. Deals directly with immediate supervisor, co-workers and team members; engaging in exchanges of information and provides some explanation accordingly; interactions with external contacts, as applicable.
5. Ensures good housekeeping and that workplace organisation is maintained.
6. Promotes good working ethics and communication with team members.
7. Maintains accurate records of vendor defects and performs data inputting.
8. Works in a pro-active hands on way to reduce and eliminate bottle necks to ensure customer satisfaction.
9. Participates in all Physical Inventory (PI) and maintains stock accuracy.
10. Manages the flow of product through the line to ensure optimum performance.
11. Monitors quality and targets to ensure on-time delivery.
12. Take over the responsibilities of the team leader when he/she is not available.
13. Deputises for the team leader.
14. Ensures compliance with PPE and GMP practices.
15. Ensures team members comply with Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) procedures.
What do we expect from you?
1. Dynamic individual with a 'can do 'attitude.
2. General knowledge of product process flow.
3. Ability to recognise problems in the assembly process and to address those problems.
4. Ability to learn established quality and quantity requirements.
5. Ability to work effectively with team members and lead the team to high quality production within tight deadlines.
6. Knowledge of personal computers and ability to learn and use applications specific to this area.
7. Ability to maintain detailed, accurate and organised records.
8. Knowledge of and adherence to Quality/ISO audit requirements.
9. Ability to effectively communicate with a variety of internal customers (external also, if applicable).
10. Basic manufacturing system knowledge.
11. Assist in the planning and implementation of breaks and holiday cover.
Typical Experience
What are we looking for?
1. Three to Four years' relevant experience.
2. Two to three years' experience in manufacturing/electronics.
3. Experience in the HP Business is essential.
4. Second level qualification, or an equivalent combination of education and experience and a commitment towards further / additional education.
