My client is a well established accountancy practice based in Kildare. The are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Tax Consultant to take ownership of the firm's tax compliance function. This is a flexible role that can be tailored to suit full-time or part-time working arrangements. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in Irish tax, experience managing tax deadlines, and the ability to liaise with both internal teams and external stakeholders (e.g., Revenue, clients, and auditors). Your responsibilities will include: Manage the firms tax Compliance requirements. Manage and deliver a portfolio of personal and corporate tax compliance clients across various sectors. Prepare and review: Income Tax returns (Form 11),Corporation Tax returns (CT1), VAT returns, RCT returns and filings, PAYE/PRSI/USC returns (P30/PSDs). Monitor tax deadlines and ensure timely and accurate submissions on ROS. Liaise directly with clients to gather information and provide tax updates or advice. Manage and respond to Revenue queries, audits, and compliance checks. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Irish tax legislation and Revenue guidance. Provide tax planning input for clients where appropriate, in collaboration with partners. Assist with onboarding of new tax clients and implementation of best practice procedures. Train and mentor trainees. Other adhoc duties as required. Skills & Qualifications: AITI qualified (or in final stages) and/or qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA) Minimum 3+ years of experience in a practice-based tax role. Prior experience managing a tax function - an advantage. Solid working knowledge of Irish tax laws and practices. Strong client communication and relationship management skills. Ability to manage deadlines and prioritise workloads independently. Proficiency in tax software. Excellent communication skills. Proactive approach to dealing with problems.
