The purpose of the Environmental Specialist is to assist the business in delivering all aspects of Extended Producer Responsibility and Environmental Compliance across all global operations, ensuring the delivery 100% compliance, budget alignment and achieving relevant cost mitigation projects

What You'll Do:

We want you to feel challenged and inspired. Here, you'll develop your skills across a range of responsibilities:

1. Support the Group Environmental Sustainability Manager in ensuring that Primark is meeting its global Environmental compliance requirements and achieving best practice in Environmental management where possible
2. Act as the Subject Matter Expert for all aspects of Primark's Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) requirements to ensure ongoing compliance
3. Build an organizational plan to uphold legal compliance and adjust to new legislative requirements by guiding the execution strategy
4. Collaborate with stakeholders internally and externally to horizon scan upcoming environmental legislation and Extended Producer Responsibility requirement to ensure business readiness
5. Manage and continuously improve all aspects of internal environmental auditing for Primark stores, depots and offices

What You'll Bring

1. Financial/commercial acumen
2. Have a good working knowledge of relevant environmental practices with a focus on data and energy management
3. Experience overseeing environmental compliance and Extended Producer Responsibility
4. Retail or Fast-Moving Consumable Goods experience is beneficial.
5. Results orientated with a clear focus on the delivery of objectives, including an ability to provide creative and innovative solutions based on a sound understanding of business requirements
