Join DB Engineering & Consulting as a Project Manager and contribute to railway infrastructure projects across Ireland, focusing on systems like ETCS and GSM-R. This role offers exciting challenges and career growth opportunities.
Responsibilities:
- Support planning and execution of Signaling, Electrification, and Telecom (SET) projects using effective Project Management methodologies. Manage NEC and GCCC contracts to meet program targets and execute work efficiently.
- Lead design management to ensure an integrated final design for current and future rail network expansion, complying with I-SET-9100 standards for engineering management.
- Develop and maintain detailed Project Plans, outlining development phases, roles, responsibilities, milestones, and risks. Monitor schedules to predict project timelines.
- Allocate resources, including engineers and technicians, for SET systems and daily operations. Establish work breakdown structures with schedules, resource allocations, and cost estimates.
- Manage project budgets, ensuring value for money. Develop cost plans, identify risks, and implement risk management systems with ongoing risk registers.
- Develop sustainability plans addressing social, economic, and environmental objectives.
- Coordinate with contractors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of equipment and materials. Prepare reports and implement document control procedures.
Qualifications:
- At least 3 years of project management experience, preferably in railway infrastructure or rail systems projects.
- IRSE licensed and/or chartered status (e.g., Signaling Design Assistant) is preferred.
- Experience as a project coordinator or assistant project manager in railway projects is advantageous.
- Basic understanding of signaling, electrification, and telecom systems in railway projects.
- Familiarity with project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera) and railway technologies.
