I am recruiting for a Production/ Shift Technician to join a well-established manufacturer of healthcare components in Kerry.
This full-time, permanent position is with a company that manufactures large volumes 24/7 using insert injection moulding, silicone moulding, and automated assembly.
Hands-on experience with machinery, including assisting with mould changeovers, machine maintenance, troubleshooting, and related tasks is required for the role.
Key Responsibilities Support the supervisor to ensure the smooth operation of the production machines on the shift
Troubleshooting, fine-tuning of process and fixing machine breakdowns
Removing and setting up moulds in machines.
Must comply with documented specification.
Assisting the supervisor to ensure the smooth operation of the production department during the shift.
Contributing positively to the overall company performance in the areas of Output, Quality, Safety, People Management, and Cost
Assisting the Shift Production Supervisor to maximise production output and manufacturing product to Quality standards
Organising and planning production to ensure that it is achieved in a cost effective and efficient manner.
Monitoring and reviewing production output, machine performance, quality, reject levels and the efficient and effective deployment of raw materials and resources.
Assisting in mould changeovers, machine maintenance, process optimisation and troubleshooting.
Providing leadership and communicate with the team
Ensuring adequate materials in the system for the duration of the shift.
Ensuring employees receive the required training and that all training records are kept up to date
Ensuring that training is routinely refreshed where required
Creating an incident and injury free work environment.
Ensuring that all cleanroom and hygiene regulations are adhered to at all times.
To maintain all company policies and procedures.
Keep management informed of issues and concerns in a timely manner.
Qualifications Experience in a similar manufacturing position within a busy environment
Relevant technical qualifications (QQI Level 6, Diploma, or equivalent in engineering, electrical, mechanical, or manufacturing disciplines) are desirable, but not essential.
Previous experience in GMP regulated environment (desirable)
Basic understanding of injection moulding, silicone moulding, or automated assembly processes (desirable)
Salary is open to negotiation based on candidates experience.
