My client, a well-established and reputable automotive service and repair centre, is seeking an experienced and hands-on Workshop Manager to lead a busy and well-equipped workshop based in South Co. Dublin Position Overview As the Workshop Manager, you will take a hands-on leadership role overseeing the day-to-day running of a busy, well-equipped automotive workshop. Youll be responsible for managing the team, coordinating workflow, maintaining high-quality standards, and ensuring efficient service delivery across all mechanical operations. This is a full-time, permanent position offering a salary from €50,000 per year, negotiable depending on experience, along with a performance-related bonus awarded twice yearly. Youll work Monday to Friday from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM and Saturday from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM, within a supportive and well-structured environment that values professionalism, quality workmanship, and team collaboration. This opportunity is ideal for a qualified mechanic (QQI Level 6 or equivalent) who has proven workshop experience and is ready to take the next step into a leadership position, managing both people and performance while maintaining a hands-on approach when required. This is a permanent role, which will involve working for my client directly on a permanent basis, this is not an agency or short term role. I am assisting my client in finding suitable candidates to work for them directly Requirements QQI Level 6 Mechanic qualification (or equivalent) Proven experience working in a busy garage or service environment Previous leadership or supervisory experience within the motor industry Excellent organisational, communication, and team management skills Strong diagnostic and problem-solving abilities Confident liaising with customers, suppliers, and management Full, clean driving licence (essential) Responsibilities Lead and manage the day-to-day operations of a busy, multi-lift workshop Oversee and coordinate incoming and outgoing jobs, ensuring efficient workflow Provide technical support to the team and work hands-on when required Maintain communication with the owner regarding customer accounts, supplier management, and staff updates Oversee quality control and ensure all work meets the highest standards Handle timekeeping, scheduling, and performance feedback for staff Maintain health and safety standards and ensure proper workshop procedures are followed Benefits Salary from €50,000 per year, negotiable depending on experience Performance-related bonus, awarded twice yearly One personal vehicle repair (nixer) allowed each Saturday (1 PM 5 PM) Modern workshop with five lifts and digital systems (Garage Assistant GA4 & Blip) HR, safety, and administration supported by Peninsula Supportive management team and long-term, stable employment If you feel like you fit the above requirements and are currently seeking an exciting new challenge, please forward your CV for immediate consideration and confidential call back to discuss the role in more detail.
