Position
Financial Manager / Business Partner is responsible for financial analytics, planning, and reporting in support of the Industry Relations team.
Schedule
Full-time position with standard working hours: Monday - Thursday, 9am - 5:30pm; Friday, 9am - 5pm.
Location & Hybrid Work
Careers with Optum offer flexible work arrangements. Those in the Republic of Ireland may split monthly hours between Dublin or Letterkenny offices and a home-based office in a hybrid model.
Responsibilities
Perform financial modeling, data analysis, and business planning in support of Optum's Network business financial forecast, budget, and long-range plan
Maintain financial models, forecasts, and budgets to support strategic decision-making and financial stability
Monitor and analyze financial performance, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective actions as needed
Prepare and present financial reports, including monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, projections, and variance analytics to senior management and other stakeholders
Collaborate with key business partners to support forecast assumptions, share insights, and scenario sensitivities
Support the annual budgeting process, providing guidance and recommendations to department heads and senior management
Provide financial guidance and support to cross-functional teams, assisting in cost control initiatives and driving operational efficiency
Leverage technology and carry out process improvement activities
Qualifications
Required
Bachelor's Degree (or higher) in Finance, Accounting, or related field
ACA, ACCA, or CPA qualified
Proven professional experience in finance and/or accounting
Knowledge of financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and accounting principles
Intermediate proficiency in financial modeling, data analysis, and financial reporting, with experience managing large data sets
Skills in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
Preferred
Pharmaceutical and/or life science industry experience
Project management tools and software experience; Tableau or other data visualization software experience
Soft Skills
Analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
