What Youll Do Design, build, and maintain scalable, resilient, and performant backend systems. Collaborate with cross-functional teams of engineers, product managers, and designers. Participate in architecture and system design reviews, influencing technical direction. Drive software quality through clean code, robust testing, and continuous integration. Investigate and resolve complex technical issues in production environments. Write and review technical design documents, RFCs, and root cause analyses. Mentor and support team members, fostering an inclusive and high-performing engineering culture. Contribute to continuous improvement, innovation, and technical excellence across the organization. About You 7+ years of professional experience in software engineering or back-end development. Expert in Scala (primary language), with strong experience in Java and AWS. Proven track record of delivering complex, high-impact projects with significant architectural ownership. Recognized technical authority capable of influencing system architecture across teams or domains. Deep experience designing and scaling systems for high throughput and low latency. Skilled mentor with the ability to elevate peers and lead cross-team initiatives. Strong advocate for quality, reliability, and operational excellence. Strategic thinker who aligns technical vision with broader company goals. Demonstrated thought leadership in areas such as distributed systems, functional programming, or cloud-native architecture. Nice to Have Experience with Golang or Python. Deep operational knowledge of AWS, including cost-aware system design.
