Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced Product Owner to join our banking client's team in Dublin on an initial 6-month contract. The successful candidate will bring deep expertise in the financial services industry, with a strong focus on Credit products and processes. This role requires a blend of business acumen, technical understanding, and leadership capability to drive delivery across complex initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

- Define, prioritise, and manage the product backlog to ensure alignment with business goals and customer needs.

- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including business stakeholders, developers, and testers to deliver high-quality solutions.

- Act as the primary liaison between business and technology teams, translating strategic objectives into actionable requirements.

- Lead workshops, sprint planning, and review sessions to ensure clarity and alignment on deliverables.

- Provide thought leadership and direction in the design and enhancement of credit-related products and systems.

- Monitor progress, manage dependencies, and ensure timely delivery within agreed scope and budget.

- Support change management and stakeholder engagement throughout the delivery lifecycle.

Key Requirements

- 10+ years' experience as a Product Owner in the financial services industry, with a proven track record in product ownership or related leadership roles.

- Strong knowledge of Credit products and processes is essential.

- Demonstrated leadership skills, with the ability to influence and guide cross-functional teams.

- Strong technical understanding coupled with solid business analysis and strategic thinking skills.

- Excellent communication and stakeholder management capabilities.

- Experience working within Agile or hybrid delivery environments.
