Activ8 Solar Energies are actively seeking qualified Electricians to install & commission domestic Solar PV systems. This position will be based out of our Carrickmacross location in Co. Monaghan. The Opportunity:

As a Solar Electrician, you will be responsible for the installation and commissioning of Solar PV systems primarily on residential properties. You will receive 6 weeks of complete and thorough industry-specific training.

Responsibilities Include:

1. Install solar panels and electrical components according to Safe Electric specifications and SEAI code of practice.
2. Conduct electrical inspections and maintenance on solar systems.
3. Troubleshoot and repair electrical issues in solar systems.
4. Test and verify system performance using specialised equipment.
5. Provide technical assistance to customers regarding their solar systems.
6. Work with the team to ensure projects are completed on time.
7. Keep accurate records of all work performed and materials used.
8. Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and standards.

Requirements:

1. Qualified Electrician ideally with 3+ years domestic experience.
2. Live within a commutable distance of Carrickmacross, Co Monaghan.
3. Knowledge of electrical codes and standards.
4. Experience with electrical testing equipment and tools.
5. Excellent problem-solving skills.
6. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
7. Strong communication skills.
8. Attention to detail.
9. Test & Verification certification would be an advantage.
10. Valid driver's license.
