Senior Purchasing Manager - Dublin 3
Tier 1 Main Contractor
€90,000-€110,000 (doe) + Package (car allowance, pension, bonus etc)
The Senior Purchasing Manager will lead the procurement function, overseeing the sourcing, negotiation, and supply of materials and services for construction projects across Ireland and the UK. This role demands strong commercial awareness, supplier relationship management, and the ability to deliver cost efficiency while maintaining quality and compliance.
As a senior leader, you will shape procurement strategy, drive operational excellence, and promote a culture of safety, compliance, and continuous improvement. Your influence will support cost control, supplier performance, and risk mitigation across the supply chain.
Qualifications & Experience
- Degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Construction Management, Engineering, or related discipline.
- 7–10 years’ procurement experience within the construction industry, including at least 3 years in a senior or leadership role.
- Track record of managing procurement for large-scale projects in Ireland and/or the UK.
- Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
- Deep knowledge of construction materials, supply chains, and industry practices.
- Familiarity with Irish and UK construction regulations and standards.
- Proficiency in procurement/ERP systems (e.g., COINS or similar).
- Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management abilities.

Key Responsibilities
Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager:
- Lead and optimise all purchasing activities across Ireland and the UK.
- Develop and implement procurement strategy to support ongoing construction delivery.
- Manage the full purchasing lifecycle — supplier selection, tendering, negotiation, contract management, and delivery.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and manufacturers to ensure quality, reliability, and competitive pricing.
- Negotiate framework agreements and long-term supply contracts to secure best value.
- Drive cost control, supplier performance, risk management, and process improvements across the supply chain.
