Test Technician

Our Client, a large medical device company based in North County Dublin, requires a Test Technician for a 23 Month Contract. The Salary for the role is €42k + Benefits. This is a DAY SHIFT role, but some night shift work may be required during the contract (shift allowance will apply). OVERTIME is available. There is a possibility for permanency thereafter. Salary: €42k Benefits: Pension (up to 10%), Bonus (5-10%), Healthcare, Gym, Canteen, Shift allowance Responsibilities: Performing inspection operations on sub-assemblies, modules and systems using engineering drawings, schematics, flow diagrams, specifications and methodologies; Troubleshooting faults down to component level. Preparing samples, reagents and diluents for chemical testing of systems and modules; Establishing causes of malfunction and non-conformance in the mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and chemical operation of systems with a minimum loss of test time; Assisting Engineering in the initial validation, installation and verification of new test procedures, equipment and products; Overseeing and checking any repair work that has to be carried out to ensure that the fault is corrected; Working with other departments to solve ongoing problems. Assisting Engineering in the design of test fixtures and modules inspection/test procedures; Completing and maintaining all necessary paperwork, test data etc. for each system/module to ensure that accurate Quality records are available. Working with Quality procedures, relating to material flow, material handling, processing of defective material, acceptance and rejection procedures, ECN monitoring, concessions etc. Awareness of the risks involved i.e. in handling dangerous corrosive or infectious materials adhering to strict safety rules. Training in new personnel. Requirements: 2 years experience in a similar manufacturing environment; Experience as a Test Technician in a mechanical or electrical environment a plus.
