The Client —

Our client is a notable professional services firm with a strategic presence in Ireland and ambitious growth objectives. The Role —

Our client is seeking an experienced risk consultant with management skills for a financial services risk consulting position. Candidates should have a background in risk, compliance, internal audit, accountancy, or a related field with 3-5 years of professional experience. The financial services risk and compliance consulting team collaborates with various financial institutions and entities.

Main Responsibilities —

- Effective management of client relationships by ensuring high-quality service delivery and coordinating services from other departments at our client’s website.

- Continual growth of knowledge concerning regulatory and compliance obligations for clients.

- Taking a lead role in client assignments encompassing areas such as regulatory submissions, investigations, corporate governance, financial services compliance, risk management, and internal control frameworks.

- Reporting to senior leadership and working toward achieving departmental goals and targets.

- Consistently meeting deadlines and working within assignment budgets.

- Actively participating as a firm, department, and practice ambassador in development and marketing initiatives.

- Mentorship and development of junior team members.

- Authoring articles on regulatory topics for publication on our client’s website.

About you —

- Qualification in accountancy or relevant industry qualification (e.g. ACCA, ACA, Compliance Institute, Institute of Internal Auditors, CIMA)

- Ideally, a minimum of 3-5 years’ experience within risk and compliance consulting

- Good understanding of some risk and compliance regulatory areas (e.g. PSD, Consumer Protection Code, Investor Protection, Fitness and Probity etc)

- Demonstrated knowledge of challenges and developments within the banking industry

- Excellent oral and written communication skills

- Experience of operational supervision of assignments and managing of client relationships

- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a team environment

- Strong organizational and planning capabilities

- Ability to work on own initiative and to provide guidance to others

- Experience of working to deadlines and delivering under pressure

- Excellent computer-literacy skills

- Experience in a professional services firm.
