My client is a leading retail credit firm looking to hire a Head of Risk & Compliance, holding both PCF-12 & PCF-14. They have recently been authorised by the CBI. 30 people in the Irish business.

4 days a week in the office, one at home.

Responsibilities

- Develop and maintain a clear and effective risk management framework, with appropriate policy and procedures aligned with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Implement and manage a compliance framework including, inter alia, a compliance risk assessment, annual compliance plan and risk-based testing and monitoring programme
- Ensure comprehensive oversight of the framework(s) including any systems, processes and controls that identify, assess, measure, monitor and manage risks.
- Provision for the inclusion of right-sized testing and monitoring to provide assurance on regulatory, legal and procedural requirements.

Requirements

- Appropriate recognised qualifications (including the Professional Certificate or Diploma in Compliance (ACOI) or a comparable Risk Qualification).
- Minimum of 5-8 years’ relevant experience in a Compliance and/or Risk role, including approx. 3-5 years’ experience managing a compliance and/or risk team.
- Experience in a PCF 12 or PCF 14 role will be an advantage but is not a prerequisite as long as the probity and fitness requirements to hold the PCF-12 and PCF-14 functions are met
