The Role

1. Technical Scientist in Analytical Chemistry or related field
2. New Dublin City centre-based role
3. Operate and maintain mass spectrometry instruments
4. Operate and maintain HPLC and solid-phase extraction instruments
5. Perform data analysis and writing reports
6. You are well-organised, a good team player and pay high attention to detail

Responsibilities

1. Sample preparation for LC-MS/MS analysis, colorimetric assays, solid-phase extraction, sample fractionation
2. Working with teams across the company to characterise bioactive peptides through the discovery and early development phases
3. Design experiments independently and perform experiments to the highest standards
4. Use of electronic laboratory notebook
5. Play an active role in adhering to and improving the safety of the laboratory
6. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of technical developments, particularly regarding timesaving, more efficient techniques
7. Administrative duties including management of equipment and suppliers, compliance with regulatory policies, procedures, directives, and mandates

Requirements

1. MSc in analytical chemistry or relevant field with at least 2 years' experience in industry
2. Experience in working with peptides and proteins is highly advantageous
3. Experience with LCMS, HPLC and sample preparation techniques preferred
4. Proven ability to deliver results and entire projects in a timely manner
5. Proven ability to work independently
6. Excellent presentation skills
7. Fluency in English
8. Computer literate
