I'm working with a financial services company of mine based in Dublin, and I'm on the hunt for a senior systems engineer. This is a permanent and hybrid position where you would be required to be onsite 1 week per month (3 weeks fully remote, 1 week onsite). There will also be on-call duties, which would include weekends .

Key Responsibilities

Lead deployment of applications in production environments, ensuring stability and performance.

Collaborate with infrastructure teams to manage upgrades, patching cycles, and system health for on-premises platforms.

Drive improvements in automation workflows and identify opportunities for process optimization.

Build and maintain development, staging, and production environments across Windows and Linux systems.

Coordinate resolution of technical issues, security vulnerabilities, and incident tickets with engineering teams.

Participate in on-call rotations, including weekend coverage, to support critical systems.

Mentor team members and contribute to a culture of continuous learning and technical excellence.

Required Skills & Experience

Minimum 5 years of experience in systems engineering or infrastructure operations.

Proven experience with application deployment and environment configuration.

Familiarity with trading systems and protocols (e.g., FIX) is advantageous.

Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins is a plus.

Working knowledge of networking protocols and infrastructure is beneficial.

Proficiency in scripting languages including Python, Groovy, and shell scripting.

Experience with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Prometheus, Datadog, Splunk).

Exposure to cloud platforms and services, particularly AWS (e.g., S3, EC2, EKS).

Understanding of certificate lifecycle management and secure system practices.

Strong analytical and communication skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.

Detail-oriented with excellent organizational capabilities.

Knowledge of the trading lifecycle is a plus.

You must be based in Ireland, and hold a stamp 4/EU citizenship to be considered for this role
