About the Role We are seeking a strategic, innovative, and data-driven Director of Growth & Retention to serve as the Product Line Owner for metrics driving the success of Udemy Business. This leader will own and accelerate growth and retention across our global portfolio, with a mandate to maximize ARR and NDRR. You will define enterprise product strategy, lead key product initiatives, and craft seamless upgrade sequences and packaging solutions for our customers.
You will lead a team of product managers, work cross-functionally with design, research, sales, and customer success, and influence both direct and indirect teams toward shared business goals. You will champion a culture of innovation, inclusion, and career development while translating strategy into tangible results.
What You’ll Do Serve as the Product Line Owner for Growth & Retention across Udemy Business, responsible for key business metrics (ARR, NDRR, adoption, and engagement).
Develop and execute product strategies that drive net new growth, upsell, and retention within a global B2B environment.
Own packaging and pricing strategy in close collaboration with Sales, Marketing, and Finance, leveraging segmentation and market insights to design value-based offerings and seamless upgrade paths.
Partner with research teams, engaging directly with customers to understand industry needs, business context, and user behavior; use these insights to inform and validate product strategy.
Use data, experiments, and customer feedback to define and iterate on product initiatives that accelerate adoption and deliver measurable ROI for customers.
Collaborate with design, user research, engineering, and GTM teams to deliver enterprise-grade experiences.
Drive global product launches and enhance enterprise readiness, with an understanding of the needs of multinational organizations.
Serve as a thought partner to executive stakeholders, delivering dashboards and business cases to support investment decisions.
Lead, develop, and inspire a team of product managers, fostering a high-performance, inclusive culture and investing in career growth.
Influence cross-functional teams and align partners to execute growth and retention strategies at scale.
Stay informed about emerging technologies (including AI and automation) and trends in learning and talent tech, proposing ways to leverage innovation for impact.
About You 8+ years of product management experience in B2B SaaS, including at least 3 years in a leadership role managing product teams.
Proven success developing and executing growth and retention strategies with impact on ARR and NDRR.
Expertise in packaging, pricing, customer segmentation, and lifecycle management for enterprise software.
Highly data-driven, with demonstrated ability to turn insights into action at scale.
Strong facilitation and influence, able to align cross-functional partners and present clearly to executive audiences.
Experience with global or multi-region products and launching in diverse markets.
Passion for developing people and building a healthy, high-performing culture.
Familiarity with AI and its application in enterprise/SaaS contexts.
Experience with learning, HR tech, or workforce transformation technology is highly preferred.
Excellent organizational, strategic thinking, and communication skills.
Ability to flex working hours to achieve partial overlap with US stakeholders.
