We are looking for a professional with a minimum of seven years’ experience, with at least three years in a Transport and Installation related role. The role involves leading, coordinating, and supporting the development and assessment of project T&I engineering, including T&I input to foundation designs and consenting activities. The successful candidate will develop individual project’s Transport & Installation strategy, including design, planning, and cost definition, and prepare technical scope of work documents for Transport & Installation activities.
In support of ESB’s strategic objectives of decarbonising electricity, building resilient infrastructure, and empowering clients, you will lead the development and assessment of project T&I engineering, develop Transport & Installation strategies, and provide technical support for offshore installation campaign planning.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, coordinate, and support the development of ESBs T&I engineering team.
- Develop individual project’s Transport & Installation strategy, including design, planning, and cost definition.
- Prepare technical scope of work documents for Transport & Installation activities.
- Evaluate technical proposals for port facilities, offshore contractors, and associated specialist equipment and installation methodologies.
- Provide technical support for offshore installation campaign planning.
- Highlight key T&I project risks and design issues, and support risk mitigation implementation and monitoring.
- Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to deliver and optimize the Transport & Installation strategic vision.
Experience and Qualifications
- Minimum of seven years’ professional experience, with at least three years in a Transport and Installation related role.
- Formal qualification in Engineering or a related field with demonstrable experience in Transport and Installation engineering.
- Thorough understanding of offshore windfarm construction and logistics activities.
- A pro-active attitude with proven experience of interfacing and collaborating effectively across multi-disciplinary teams, in a solution-focused manner, to support decision making.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Able to travel as required with a valid driving license and passport.
- Level 9 Masters Degree in Engineering.
- Chartered status of a recognized professional institution.
- Experience in the delivery of subsea cable installation projects.
Location
This position will be based in either E&MP Dublin/Cork offices with travel to project locations across Ireland and the UK as required.

Reporting To
The successful candidate will report to the OSWT&I Engineering Lead.

- €69,000 to €81,000 per annum
