Currently, we are hiring a R&D Project Manager to support our Automotive client in Galway.

Duties and Responsibilities

Apply the specific PDP of PG/PL following CPM (CLEAN Project Management)

In charge of the robust design in line with the economic targets

Applies Standardisation rules, exceptionally will request the standardisations based on sound justifications

Call for all necessary design reviews

Make sure that Design Reviews of other networks are happening in a timely manner (Purchase, Industrial)

Represent the R&D function at the customer

Interface with the customer for the R&D subjects of the project, break down and cascade internally customer requests and needs

Report and escalate to project manager or R&D manager as needed

Daily management of all R&D contributors, dedicated or not

Assign contributors the work packages needed

Regular review with R&D manager or Product Manager and the Discipline Department Managers to check alignment between needs and availabilities

Authority

Accountable for the deliverables of R&D due to ensure the success of the project

Responsible for the detailed scheduling and budgeting of R&D activities

Empowered by R&D Manager to manage their Contributors

Contribute to the identification of the needs in terms of resources, equipment’s, investments

Establish detail break down of the activities to meet the milestones

Follow activities and spending of scope to meet allowed budget

Requirements

Minimum 5 years’ experience in R&D project management in regulated environments such as automotive, medical devices or another similar environment

Experience in dealing with customers with the ability to interpret customer requests with clear communication.

Fluent in English with a clear and confident communication ability

Extensive experience in planning of projects & use of planning tools such as MS project or similar planning tools
