Location: Galway Job Type: Agency Basis - Flexible Shifts Competitive Pay Rates + Premiums for Nights, Weekends & Holidays Excel Healthcare is currently recruiting Social Care Workers in Galway to support people with intellectual disabilities for one of Ireland's most respected care providers. Responsabilities of this Social Care Worker Job: Provide person-centred support to individuals with intellectual disabilities. Assist with daily living tasks such as personal care, hygiene, meal preparation, and household duties. Promote independence and community participation in line with individual care plans. Administer or assist with medication in accordance with guidelines and training. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records and reports. Respond effectively to the needs of service users, including during challenging behaviour or emergency situations. Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, families, and other stakeholders. Requirements of this Social Care Worker Job: Be registered in the Social Care Workers Register maintained by the Social Care Workers Registration Board maintained by CORU Or Hold a CORU approved Social Care Worker qualification and have applied for CORU registration (evidence of application is necessary) Eligible to Work in Ireland (Most hold valid work permit or EU or IRP 1G, 4) Experience in disability or residential care (preferred but not essential). Full clean driver's licence (advantageous). Garda Vetting or willingness to undergo vetting. Kind, patient, and professional attitude with a person-centred approach.
