Part-Qualified or Qualified Accountant

Our client is a long-established and reputable accountancy practice located in the heart of Kilkenny City. Known for its strong client relationships, team longevity, and collaborative work environment, the firm is now seeking to expand its team in line with long-term succession planning.
This is an excellent opportunity for a Part-Qualified or Qualified Accountant who is looking to build a lasting career in practice, with clear progression potential into a more senior role in the coming years.

The successful candidate will work closely with senior team members and clients from a wide range of sectors, gaining valuable experience in audit, advisory, and technical accounting. You'll be joining a small, experienced team that values support, knowledge sharing, and long-term development.

Location: Kilkenny City Centre
Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Salary: Competitive & Negotiable (based on experience and qualification level)
Reports to: Senior Management

Key Responsibilities:

Assist in the planning, execution, and completion of audits across various industries
Prepare and review financial statements in accordance with relevant standards
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients
Support and mentor junior team members
Contribute to internal discussions on process improvements and operational planning
Assist with technical and compliance-related work

Ideal Candidate:

Part-qualified or fully qualified (ACA/ACCA/CPA)
Minimum of 1–2 years' experience in a practice environment
Audit experience or strong technical exposure preferred
Comfortable working directly with clients
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Motivated, proactive, and eager to take on responsibility

Desirable:

Experience with larger audits or complex technical files
Ambition to progress into a senior position over time
Knowledge of Irish accounting and tax regulations
