Unijobs are currently recruiting for an Admin support in SDRI (Sustainable Development Research Institute) in TUS, Thurles Campus. We are looking for someone to commence ASAP and the contract will be length of 6 months initially. The working hours are 35 per week and paid at a rate of €16.38 per hour. Principal duties and responsibilities: The successful candidate's duties will include the following: Support the SDRI team to ensure that all business processes are effectively administrated. Provide all necessary administration supports to the SDRI team to include typing of meeting agendas, minutes, updating documentation as required. Communicating and providing accurate information to internal and external stakeholders in person, by telephone, or by email Support the SDRI staff with the administrative process and organisation of travel, purchasing and events for the SDRI projects. Coordinate, create, and place content for SDRI's social media platform - LinkedIn Complete tasks with high levels of attention to detail. Contribute effectively to the development and implementation of new administrative systems, as required. Maintaining confidentiality of documents and materials, as appropriate. The appointee is expected to have a high level of flexibility, and a willingness and ability to develop new approaches to their work as service needs require. Any other duties as assigned from time to time by the SDRI manager or such other person nominated Desirable: A relevant academic qualification High level of proficiency in Microsoft packages, including MSword, MSexcel, MSTeams and MSoutlook, and website updating. Working knowledge of Agresso. Experience in communicating and dealing with the public/customers, responding to queries and providing information in person, by telephone, or by email Experience in project administration Demonstrable planning, organisation, communication, time management, and interpersonal skills The ability to work under pressure and deliver to demanding schedules A pro-active and problem-solving approach to challenges, with the flexibility to manage multiple tasks The ability to work independently and with a team, in order to deliver continuous quality improvement A positive approach to service delivery and service quality, with a customer-focus. Strong analytical and logical skills, with the capacity to apply sound judgement. The ability to work under pressure and deliver to demanding schedules A pro-active and problem-solving approach to challenges, with the flexibility to manage multiple tasks The ability to work independently and with a team, in order to deliver continuous quality improvement Previous experience supporting a busy department/team.
