Who We Are: WIDA is a community based voluntary provider of services for adults and children with an intellectual disability and/or autism in Waterford City and County. WIDA is registered charity, with a voluntary Board of Directors, and is funded by the Health Service Executive. Hours of Work: Part Time 24 Hours Per Week On Site at Ashley Drive, Cherrymount, Waterford. Provision of impartial reporting of findings from audits in clearly laid out reports for the Director of Services and the board. Risk Management Conduct risk assessments and inspections. Ensure risks identified through internal audits are escalated for the attention of relevant Management for appropriate response / action. Responsible for the design and implementation of the appropriate risk management frameworks. Policy Development: Key contributor to the development and review of policies and procedures. Responsibility development and maintenance of policies and procedures in areas of designated responsibility. Continuous/Quality Improvement: Leading and participating in quality improvement projects, developing action plans, and tracking progress. Ensure consistent professional development through attending network events and engaging in ongoing learning opportunities. Engage with the established community of practice within the voluntary sector to keep abreast of regulatory changes and best practice within the sector. Compliance: Monitor and ensure adherence to relevant legislation, regulations, and organisational policies and procedures. Assist the Board in maintaining compliance with the Charity Regulator's Code of Practice. Responsible for the creation and review of regulatory documentation (e.g., Annual Reports for all designated centres, Agreements of Care, Directory of Residents, Statements of Purpose, Resident's Guides etc). Corporate Governance Support the Board in matters related to compliance with legal and regulatory requirements. Ensure that the WIDA corporate governance policies and procedures accord with HSE and HIQA requirements which may change over time Provide advice and training on corporate governance to the Board as required. Reporting: Ensuring that the Director of Services and the Board are acting with the latest information and up to date regulation as provided by you. Preparing reports, analysing data, and providing insights on quality and compliance trends. Support, Learning, and Development: Delivering training and coaching to staff on quality and compliance processes and requirements. Offer support, advice, and guidance to the Board of directors on Corporate Governance Principals and implementation of governance programs and risk management frameworks Skills and Qualifications: Strong understanding of health and safety, compliance, and quality management principles, regulatory, and legislative requirements. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Ability to interpret and apply complex regulations and standards. Proficiency in using data analysis tools and reporting systems. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Experience in conducting audits and developing action plans. Knowledge of relevant HSE policies and procedures.
