Senior Process Engineer Role
The Senior Process Engineer will lead a team of technicians in a fast-paced, automated Pen Needle environment. They will own process performance, driving improvements in quality, uptime, and efficiency by:
- Leading a team of engineers and/or technicians to provide direct support to the production and maintenance teams to resolve daily issues and assist with troubleshooting.
- Championing a data-driven approach to investigate and resolve process issues.
- Driving structured problem-solving with the technicians.
- Carrying out frequent reviews of the preventative maintenance schedules to ensure they are effective at mitigating equipment failure and improving uptime.
- Working closely with material suppliers to match machine and process capability, and ensuring controls are robust throughout the value chain to maintain high levels of process stability and equipment uptime.
- Working closely with the development team on new equipment or processes to establish robust process windows and effective handover to production.
- Leading QN, Customer Complaint, and CAPA investigations.
- Being responsible for the change control process in the assigned area and ensuring that appropriate documentation and approvals are followed.
- Leading the training and development of technicians in the assigned process engineering area.
- Ensuring that associates are working in a safe manner and that existing and new tasks are risk assessed.
- Ensuring that all group activities are fully compliant with the Business Quality Policy.
- Carrying out performance reviews, setting objectives, and following the absence management process for direct reports.
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering
At least 10 years process engineering experience with people management
Strong data analysis skills and experience applying Six Sigma or equivalent structured problem-solving approaches
Knowledge of Lean techniques: Standard Work, TPM
Familiarity with equipment validation and documentation within a regulated industry is advantageous
