Overview A well-established food processing business in Navan is seeking an experienced Maintenance Fitter to join its engineering team. Operating within the fast-paced FMCG sector, the company specialises in high-quality red meat products for domestic and international markets. This is a hands-on role suited to a mechanically minded professional with strong welding skills and a background in food manufacturing. Responsibilities Conduct preventative and reactive maintenance on production machinery and equipment. Diagnose faults and carry out timely repairs to minimise downtime. Perform welding and fabrication tasks to support maintenance and project work. Collaborate with production and engineering teams to ensure operational efficiency. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and comply with safety standards. Support continuous improvement initiatives across the site. Criteria Recognised mechanical or engineering qualification Proven experience as a Maintenance Fitter in an FMCG environment. Strong welding and fabrication skills are essential. Experience in the red meat sector is highly desirable. Ability to work independently and within a team. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Willingness to work a rotating shift pattern.
