Overview   MedGen Healthcare  are currently looking to recruit a number of Agency  Midwives  to join our team. This would be an ideal career for someone searching for flexible hours and experience in the health care sector as you can choose your own hours and days.
Responsibilities   Monitor the health of pregnant women and their unborn babies during pregnancy.
Provide antenatal care, including health education and screening tests.
Offer emotional and practical support to expectant mothers.
Assist during labour and delivery, ensuring the safety of mother and baby.
Administer pain relief and conduct emergency procedures if necessary.
Assess and monitor the progress of labour.
Provide immediate care to new-borns, including initial assessments and breastfeeding support.
Offer postnatal care, including monitoring recovery and mental health.
Refer patients to obstetricians or other specialists when complications arise.
Maintain accurate and confidential records of patient care.
Educate and counsel parents on new-born care, feeding, and family planning.
Support women with miscarriages, stillbirths, or other pregnancy losses.
Work in collaboration with other healthcare professionals.
Participate in ongoing professional development and training.
Person Specification   Registered with the NMBI.
A minimum of 12 months experience as a Midwife.
Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
Valid eligibility to work in the Republic of Ireland.
Driver's licence is advantageous.
