Senior Software Engineer in Test

Senior Software Engineer in Test (€60k-€65k) Dublin, Ireland What you will do: Develop test strategies and plans in collaboration with App Engineering, Architecture, and Prod Arch, including data creation and management. Identify regression tests for future scenarios. Ensure the creation of reusable, automated tests. Execute all test cases and detect defects early. Pretest and validate deployment plans. Execute post-deployment verification plans and document results. Perform resilience testing and record outcomes. Generate code quality reports using SonarQube. Automate fortify scans for code. Ensure at least 80% unit test coverage. Establish common defect severity definitions across the company for alignment. Conduct web accessibility testing with no open violations for customer-facing interfaces (WCAG). Ensure processes and practices meet end-customer needs for a flawless experience. Complete application vulnerability and penetration testing with no active violations. Raise issues with developers and product owners. Create a test automation suite and design documentation for automated processes. Shorten and enhance feedback loops to deliver products faster and with higher quality. What experience you need: BS or MS degree in Computer Science, Business, or equivalent job experience. 5+ years of experience in Quality Engineering or a similar role. What could set you apart: Experience with performance engineering and profiling (e.g., Java JVM, Databases) and tools like Load Runner, JMeter. Some exposure to application performance monitoring tools like Dynatrace and Splunk. Ability to create effective acceptance and integration test automation scripts and integrate with continuous integration tools (Jenkins) and code coverage tools (Sonar, Clover) to ensure 80% or higher code coverage. Strong development skills, proficient in Java and Spring. Experience in a TDD/BDD environment, utilizing technologies such as JUnit, Rest Assured, Appium, Jbehave/Cucumber frameworks, and APIs (REST/SOAP). Understanding of Continuous Delivery concepts and tools like Jenkins/Bamboo and vulnerability tools such as Sonar, Checkmarx/Fortify. Exposure to cloud and Infrastructure as Code concepts. Expertise in cross-device testing strategies and automation via device clouds. Experience preparing and delivering executive-level presentations to business and technology audiences. Experience in monitoring and developing resources. Excellent coding and analytical skills. Our client cannot provide sponsorship for this role unfortunately.
