Purpose Statement

Identify and pursue value improvement and waste elimination to support manufacturing and overhead areas through the initiation and completion of Lean projects in line with business goals and objectives. Support Lean Systems, Tools, and Methodologies to drive Continuous Improvement across both Production and Functional teams.

Key Responsibilities

- Coordinate with leadership to lead highly visible process improvement projects
- Enhance and improve the Continuous Improvement culture onsite.
- Lead and facilitate Workshops and Kaizen events.
- Apply Continuous Improvement tools and methodologies/DMAIC process to improve or solve manufacturing problems and reduce waste.
- Develop creative and innovative solutions to diverse business problems.
- Identify, plan, and organise projects.
- Coaching and mentoring of employees at all levels in the use of Continuous
- Improvement tools and systems.
- Work closely with Process Development to help launch new products and processes.Provide regular sitewide communication of Operational Excellence (OpEx) metrics.
- Influence senior management, production, and functional teams by providing data analysis support.
- Work with the Operational Excellence and Production teams on space requests & management of the site space strategy.
- Collaborate with operations and support functions to identify and implement Continuous Improvement ideas.
- Facilitate and support Continuous Improvement training courses.
- Act as a change agent in driving innovation and re-engineering new and existing processes.
- Maintaining a verified up to date database of standard times.

Education & Experience

- Honour Batchelor degree level 8 qualified in a STEM discipline or equivalent education.
- Proven experience in Continuous Improvement and expertise in Lean Six Sigma tools within an operational environment.
- Experience in Change Management and/or Project Management is a distinct advantage.
- Knowledge and understanding of manufacturing processes cGMP, industry regulations, process development, and new product introduction.
- Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or equivalent is an advantage.
- Strong analytical skills and systematic problem-solving skills with the ability to present complex data (e.g. Minitab, Excel) to all levels of leadership is preferable.
- Autocad/Layout drawing experience.
