My client in the manufacturing industry is looking to hire an Assistant Logistics Manager to join their site in Co. Cavan

As the Assistant Logistics Manager, you will play a key role in supporting the logistics function while working towards stepping into the Logistics Manager role

As a key member of the Senior Management Team, you will work across the business to lead successful change initiatives and remain competitive.

Key duties and responsibilities

- Drive compliance and work with the EHS team

- Oversee customer delivery service performance

- Implement operational improvements, use of lean & digital tools

- Lead all Logistics activity as part of planned SAP (ERP) & systems & projects.

- Develop all haulage partners to deliver safe performance.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive strategic initiatives

- Develop cost‑effective plans in achieving high levels of customer service

What are we looking for?

- 3rd level qualification in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management or related discipline.

- 5 years experience in a logistics/supply chain management role

- Lean Manufacturing, or Six Sigma certification – preferable

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and SAP (or equivalent ERP systems)

- Proven track record in change management and project delivery

- Results‑driven, proactive, and hands‑on.

- Strong leadership and team management skills.

- Excellent problem‑solving, analytical, and decision‑making abilities.
