Job title: Quality Control Team Leader

Location: Carrolls Cross, Co. Waterford

Role Summary:

Dawn Meats are currently recruiting for a Quality Control Team Lead to join the Carrolls Cross Quality Team. Working as part of the FSQ team to support the production team by ensuring that the quality of the product is tested and measured at regular daily intervals, ensuring it meets all production, food safety, hygiene, and customer specifications across the Convenience Foods and CX Retail production areas.

Responsibilities

Your role will see you tackle a wide range of business challenges in a busy quality and production environment. The successful Candidate will be responsible for:

- Supporting the Technical Manager to ensure that the quality of the product is tested and measured at regular daily intervals, ensuring it meets all production, food safety, hygiene, and client specifications.
- Assisting in projects as outlined by the FSQ Managers.
- Making QC decisions based on data collection and analysis.
- Aiding production staff where necessary regarding product safety, quality, or traceability control procedures.
- Being involved with Customer & 3rd Party Audits.
- Ensuring a culture of “Always Audit Ready” is implemented within the production area.

Qualifications

The ideal Candidate will have or demonstrate:

- Previous experience working within quality control.
- Fluent English, excellent communication skills, and the ability to interact with colleagues in all departments.
- The ability to work to strict deadlines and targets.
- Good problem-solving skills with the ability to think logically and analytically.
- Accurate data and record-keeping skills.
- Ability to work shifts is essential.

Shift Pattern

You will need to be able to work a shift pattern of days and evenings on a bi-weekly rotation.
