Mechanical Engineer | Hospital Project | Dublin
€50k-€80k per annum + Package (DOE)

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Mechanical Engineer to join our team for a major hospital project in Dublin.

As a key member of the project delivery team, you will be responsible for the design, coordination, and implementation of mechanical systems in a healthcare environment.

This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the construction of a state-of-the-art healthcare facility, ensuring the highest standards of quality, safety, and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Oversee the design, specification, and coordination of mechanical systems, including HVAC, medical gases, plumbing, and fire protection systems
2. Collaborate with design teams, architects, and other disciplines to ensure project alignment
3. Review and validate technical submittals, shop drawings, and specifications
4. Plan and manage mechanical works on-site, ensuring timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met
5. Supervise the installation, testing, and commissioning of mechanical systems in compliance with relevant regulations and standards
6. Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure adherence to project specifications and safety protocols
7. Provide technical advice and solutions to challenges during the project lifecycle
8. Attend site meetings and progress reviews, preparing reports and documentation as required
9. Manage quality assurance processes and ensure all systems are fully certified upon completion

Key Requirements:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline
2. 3+ years of relevant experience for intermediate roles; 7+ years for senior positions
3. Proven experience working on large-scale healthcare or similar projects is highly desirable
4. Proficiency in mechanical design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, or similar
5. Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
6. Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
