About the team
Stripe will succeed at our mission of increasing the GDP of the internet only if we prove ourselves worthy of our users' trust. Secure Frameworks provides the core security libraries and frameworks that protect Stripe from security incidents that we, or anyone else in the industry, knows how to systematically prevent. We target application layer protections to abstract security complexity, and provide intuitive, out-of-the-box solutions for common concerns, enabling teams to integrate quickly and get on with their work. We build security guarantees into platform foundations so security is always on by default.
What you'll do
Responsibilities
1. Design, build, and maintain the core product security frameworks, services, and APIs used by all of Stripe's engineering teams.
2. Work with a wide range of systems, processes, and technologies to own and solve problems end-to-end.
3. Uphold our high engineering standards and bring consistency to the many codebases and processes you will encounter.
4. Improve engineering standards, tooling, and processes.
5. Design and build solutions that will advance Stripe's product security beyond state of the art.

5. 3+ years of software engineering experience in a high-stakes production environment.

7. An ability to think creatively and holistically about reducing risk in a complex environment.
Preferred qualifications
1. Security experience is a plus but not at all a requirement.
Office-assigned Stripes spend at least 50% of the time in a given month in their local office or with users. This hits a balance between bringing people together for in-person collaboration and learning from each other, while supporting flexibility about how to do this in a way that makes sense for individuals and their teams.
The annual salary range for this role in the primary location is €76,000 - €114,000. This range may change if you are hired in another location. For sales roles, the range provided is the role's On Target Earnings ("OTE") range, meaning that the range includes both the sales commissions/sales bonuses target and annual base salary for the role. This salary range may be inclusive of several career levels at Stripe and will be narrowed during the interview process based on a number of factors, including the candidate's experience, qualifications, and specific location. Applicants interested in this role and who are not located in the primary location may request the annual salary range for their location during the interview process.
Specific benefits and details about what compensation is included in the salary range listed above will vary depending on the applicant's location and can be discussed in more detail during the interview process. Benefits/additional compensation for this role may include: equity, company bonus or sales commissions/bonuses; retirement plans; health benefits; and wellness stipends.
