Responsibilities Support people with complex needs and autism in a community setting. Deliver person‑centred care and support according to the person’s PCP and care plan. Place the needs of the person supported as the key focus in all activities. Work independently and show initiative in implementing and developing support/care plans and PCPs.
Qualifications A full QQI level 7 Award in Social Care or a degree level qualification in Social Care or Applied Social Care/Studies/Practice and at least 6 months recent experience working as a Social Care Worker supporting people with complex needs.
Eligible to register with CORU as a Social Care Worker.
Proven knowledge of current legislation and regulations relating to the Social Care Sector and understanding of the needs and rights of individuals with autism.
Proven ability to work on own initiative and to implement and develop support/care plans and PCPs. Place the needs of the person supported as the key focus in all activities.
Deliver support according to the person’s PCP and care plan. Fluent English and excellent communication skills. Full, clean driver’s licence essential.
