Associate Director-Global IT Indirect Procurement

Overview Associate Director-Global IT Indirect Procurement at Clorox. The Global Associate Director is the procurement authority responsible for creating and driving Information Technology Procurement activity across Clorox’s global operations, including US, Canada, LATAM and AMEA, with $220M in annual spend responsibility. The role is a thought leader with an external focus, bringing deep knowledge of Indirect Procurement best practices and collaborating with business stakeholders to develop and execute category strategies to maximize value for the business. The focus is on building a vision for Global IT Procurement, partnering with stakeholders globally, developing long-term category strategies, negotiating competitive contract terms, and building strong supplier relationships while maximizing return on investment in Indirect spend.

Responsibilities Drive Category Management and Procurement activities across IT Indirect spend, designing an IT Procurement Vision aligned with the organization/'s growth, implementing and executing procurement strategies across all subcategories, addressing governance, compliance, capability building, and embracing the procurement operating model to optimize the entire procurement process and drive value creation, delivering continuous savings, positive cash flow, and process improvement to support growth for Clorox.
Build and develop a global team of 4 people and provide training for all direct reports on Category Management, including category strategies, spend analysis, competitive bidding and RFP processes, contract negotiations, vendor and stakeholder management, risk mitigation, and related activities to boost agility and innovation across the category.
Serve as a thought leader within the Global Sourcing organization, developing a world-class sourcing team, aligning and prioritizing key business needs, leveraging technology and data analytics, and fostering cross-department collaboration to drive value creation and procurement excellence with measurable results and clear KPIs.

What we look for Years and Type of Experience 8-10 years of progressive procurement experience. IT Procurement experience is preferred, but other procurement domains will be considered.
At least 5 years of experience leading a team of procurement professionals.
Experience with best-in-class procurement processes (strategic sourcing management, benchmarking, should-cost models, RFX, reverse auction, contracting, etc.).
Experience working in international environments and matrixed organizations.
Skills and Abilities Results-oriented with a track record of delivering value (cost and cash).
Strong negotiation, analytical, and influencing skills with the ability to build cross-functional relationships across all levels of the organization.
Ability to solve business problems pragmatically and independently, with high speed and autonomy.
Strong digital fluency with knowledge of Procurement Tech stacks.
Planning and organizational skills with the ability to establish work plans, multi-task, and prioritize projects.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills to articulate complex business situations clearly.
High fluency in written and spoken English.
Commitment to continuous improvement in procurement expertise.
Education Level/Degree B.A. or B.S. in related disciplines (Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, Finance) or equivalent experience.
Master’s degree in Business or equivalent preferred.
