Medical Secretary

Medical Secretary / Clerical Officer Grade IV with Dictaphone Typing - Tullamore, Co. Offaly

- Manage all clinical correspondence and audio / Dictaphone typing for the Consultant

- Manage correspondence and telephone inquiries as directed

- Book patient appointments and procedures within the clinic booking system

- Arrange follow up appointments for the consultant and provide information to ensure a smooth patient service can be maintained

- Supervision of Grade III staff

- Input new patient details, update records and enter data into the clinic system as required

- Assemble new patient details, update records and enter data into the clinic system as required

- Ensure that all relevant paperwork for each patient list is ready for Consultant

- Pull all prepare charts for clinics – Virtual and face to face – and prepare same Book tests

- Book clinics and send out patient appointments

- Phone all patients in advanced of clinic to confirm attendance and ensure any cancellation slots are filled

- Have charts with queries pulled in advance of clinic for clinicians to go through

- Manage waiting list

- Filing

- Monday to Friday 35 hours per week 18.76 euro per hour

Requirements:

- Previous clerical / medical secretary experience required

- Dictaphone typing skills

- Completed Medical Secretary course an advantage

- Proficient IT knowledge and skills

- Good communications skills and organisational skills

- Capable of working in a busy environment and on own initiative

- Immediately available
