Job Description Skibbereen Residential Care is Hiring Healthcare Assistants. This is a fantastic opportunity providing flexible working hours, whilst working with one of the reliable private Nursing Homes.
Key Characteristics
Patience due to old age; residents may become slower in moving and talking, and, therefore, more challenging to manage. Patience is a key characteristic for healthcare assistants.
Kindness and empathy — essential when dealing with elderly residents.
Positive attitude — a friendly and pleasant approach helps residents feel comfortable.
Multi-tasking — ability to manage multiple tasks or residents while maintaining high standards of care.
Team player — ability to work well with others and support colleagues.
Key Requirements
Assisting with daily living activities such as eating, showering and using the toilet, utilising equipment to move patients when necessary.
Helping tidy the patients' home or room.
Taking patients' vital signs such as blood pressure and temperature; communicating with patients and reassuring them.
Attending meetings with other healthcare professionals; assisting nurses and other staff when needed.
Delivering reports to case managers and reviewing important changes in patients' conditions.
The hourly rate for this post is €14.80
