Speech and Language Therapist

About the Role Our client is seeking a passionate and dedicated Speech and Language Therapists (SLTs) to their Children’s Disability Network Team (CDNT) in Carlow. They have opportunities available for both staff and senior-level therapists. In these roles, you will work closely with children and young people with disabilities and their families, delivering high-quality therapeutic support to help them reach their full potential.
Key Responsibilities Assess, diagnose, and manage children with speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders.
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams (MDT), including occupational therapists, physiotherapists, psychologists, and social workers.
Provide family-centered services, including parent training and support.
Deliver interventions in various settings, including clinic, home, and educational environments.
Support and mentor junior staff (Senior SLT role).
Contribute to service development and quality improvement initiatives (Senior SLT role).
Requirements Recognized degree in Speech and Language Therapy.
CORU registration (or eligibility to register).
For Staff SLT: Experience working with children with disabilities is an advantage but not essential.
For Senior SLT: Minimum 3 years of experience working in paediatric disability services.
Excellent communication, teamwork, and organizational skills.
