Overview
The GBS Capability Optimisation and Automation (GCOA) organisation is a strategic function focused on transforming finance operations through intelligent automation and AI. GCOA acts as a centralised capability hub, enabling scalable, secure, and compliant solutions that deliver measurable business value.
GCOA partners with finance and technology teams to:
- Identify automation opportunities.
- Design innovative solutions.
- Embed automation as a core enabler of operational excellence and digital transformation.
Role Summary
As Delivery Lead to oversee the design, test and transition to support of the end‑to‑end delivery lifecycle of automation and AI‑based solutions. This role is pivotal in ensuring that solutions are designed effectively, tested rigorously, transitioned smoothly into Business‑As‑Usual (BAU), and operated reliably post‑deployment. The Delivery Lead will work closely with development teams and the Automation Lead, business stakeholders, and operations to ensure successful outcomes, though they will not directly manage the development team.
You will lead an Operations Analyst, a Designer and a Tester and work closely with an Automation Lead to deliver end to end solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Solution Design Ownership: Provide strategic leadership in solution design by partnering with architects and business analysts to ensure all solutions not only meet but exceed functional and non‑functional requirements. Take full ownership of design outcomes, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and long‑term technology strategy.
- Testing Strategy & Delivery: Oversee the creation and execution of comprehensive testing strategies, including UAT, performance testing, and defect resolution. Ensure testing rigor and accountability, driving the delivery of robust, high‑quality solutions that meet business objectives.
- Strategic Transition to BAU: Lead and own the transition of projects from delivery to operational teams, ensuring seamless handover, complete documentation, and effective training. Build and execute strategic roadmaps for operational readiness, guaranteeing that solutions deliver sustained business value post‑deployment.
- Operational Excellence & Continuous Improvement: Take end‑to‑end ownership of post‑deployment operations, including incident management, performance monitoring, and ongoing optimization. Champion a culture of continuous improvement, proactively identifying and implementing enhancements to maximize solution reliability and business impact.
- Stakeholder Leadership & Communication: Serve as the primary leader for delivery status, risk management, and issue resolution, engaging with senior business and technical stakeholders. Build strong partnerships and foster transparent communication to ensure alignment and successful delivery of strategic initiatives.
- Governance, Compliance & Strategic Alignment: Ensure all solutions adhere to internal governance, security, and compliance standards. Drive the integration of governance protocols into strategic planning and project execution, maintaining the highest standards of regulatory and security compliance.
- Strategic Delivery & Roadmap Development: Lead the identification and execution of opportunities to optimize delivery processes and enhance solution performance. Develop and deliver strategic roadmaps that guide the organization’s automation and AI initiatives, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and with measurable business outcomes.
Required Skills & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Management Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Demonstrated experience in technology delivery leadership, preferably in automation, AI, or enterprise digital transformation.
- Strong understanding of solution lifecycle management, including design, testing, deployment, and operations.
- Experience working with cross‑functional teams, including developers, testers, product owners, and operations.
- Familiarity with AI and automation technologies such as RPA, LLM‑based agents, orchestration platforms, and cloud‑native services.
- Excellent project management and stakeholder communication skills.
- Strong problem‑solving and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to translate complex business challenges into effective technology solutions.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, able to build strong relationships with end users, peers, management, and third‑party partners.
- Ability to manage multiple concurrent initiatives in a fast‑paced environment.
- Commitment to maintaining clear documentation, governance protocols, and compliance with regulatory and security standards.
- Experience tracking performance metrics, delivery milestones, and KPIs to ensure projects remain on track and deliver business value.
- Natural curiosity and passion for technology, continuously seeking opportunities to leverage new automation tools and methodologies for organizational benefit.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in enterprise‑scale automation programs or AI solution delivery.
- Knowledge of ITIL, Agile, or DevOps methodologies.
- Background in service transition and operational readiness planning.
- Exposure to platforms such as UiPath, Power Automate, LangChain, Azure AI, or similar.
