Our client, a leading and rapidly expanding ready meal manufacturer in Ireland, is looking for a talented and meticulous Development Chef to join their innovative New Product Development (NPD) team in Monaghan. This exciting opportunity is based on a Monday-to-Friday - Daytime schedule. It involves collaborationwith various departments to bring new food products from concept to launch, ensuring they align perfectly with the latest market trends and customer preferences. Key Responsibilities Collaborate with the Senior Development Chef to create new product concepts, respond to customer briefs, and redevelop existing products. Prepare and deliver product samples and presentations to internal teams and customers, ensuring consistency and timely submission. Work with the purchasing team to source ingredients for new product development and innovation projects. Assist in documentation tasks, including recipe approvals, costings, raw material sourcing, and product information sheets. Coordinate benchmarking of competitor products and recommend improvements based on application testing. Support the NPD team in preparing market research-based project briefs. Partner with production and planning teams to optimize existing product processes and yields for greater efficiency. Stay updated on market insights, consumer trends, restaurant developments, and competitor activity. Maintain a safe working environment in the development kitchen while adhering to HACCP standards and food safety regulations. Engage directly with customers, setting up feedback meetings on projects. Experience & Knowledge Culinary qualification or equivalent experience. Previous experience in food manufacturing; ready-meal industry exposure is advantageous. Proven ability to manage projects and collaborate effectively across teams. Passion for food innovation and quality.
