Realtime are currently seeking a highly experienced Senior Architect with deep expertise in banking systems and enterprise architecture to lead the design and implementation of robust technology solutions that support business transformation initiatives. This is a daily rate contract based in South Dublin (Hybrid). Key Responsibilities Lead the end-to-end architecture design for large-scale banking platforms including core banking, digital channels, payments, and risk management systems. Align architectural solutions with business goals, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices. Collaborate with stakeholders across business, technology, operations, and risk to define solution roadmaps. Provide technical leadership across development teams, ensuring scalability, security, and performance of systems. Develop and maintain architecture documentation, standards, and governance frameworks. Evaluate emerging technologies and provide strategic recommendations for adoption. Ensure compliance with data privacy, cybersecurity, and financial regulations (e.g., PSD2, PCI DSS, GDPR). Mentor junior architects and contribute to a culture of engineering excellence. Qualifications 10+ years of IT experience, with at least 5 years in a senior architecture role within the banking or financial services sector. Proven experience designing and delivering solutions for core banking, digital banking, payments, or trading systems. Strong understanding of enterprise architecture frameworks (e.g., TOGAF, Zachman). Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure), microservices architecture, API management, and DevOps practices. Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills. Certifications such as TOGAF, AWS/Azure Solution Architect, or similar are a plus.
