Legal Counsel (12-Month FTC) - Bright, Co. Meath - Ireland

Bright is seeking a motivated Legal Counsel to join their team on a 12-month interim basis to cover maternity leave. This role offers excellent in-house experience within a collaborative and supportive environment.

Responsibilities

As Legal Counsel, you will provide commercially focused legal advice across a wide range of areas, with particular emphasis on mergers & acquisitions and drafting/negotiating commercial contracts. You will also support governance, compliance and risk management activities, while working closely with the executive team and internal departments such as HR. Key duties include:

- Advise on governance, policies, compliance and corporate matters
- Draft, review and negotiate commercial agreements
- Maintain and update contract templates and legal documentation
- Support data privacy, employment law and risk management issues
- Liaise with external counsel as required

The ideal person

- Qualified in Ireland or the UK, with the ability to advise across both jurisdictions
- Corporate/commercial law experience - M&A, SaaS/software and data privacy (GDPR) exposure is advantageous
- Strong commercial awareness, negotiation skills and ability to partner effectively with senior stakeholders
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deliver clear, practical advice
