MWP is an established multi-disciplinary engineering and environmental consultancy based in Munster, with offices in Cork, Tralee and Limerick. MWP’s Marine and Coastal team is expanding and we have a number of vacancies for talented and enthusiastic Coastal and Marine Civil Engineers.
These roles will suit candidates who are Chartered Engineers with at least 8 years’ experience. Requirements:
Have a minimum 8 to 15 years post graduate experience in Marine Civil Engineering.
Experience in the Design and Project Management of coastal/marine engineering projects from inception to handover
Experience in the design and planning of large scale port facilities, including elements such as quay walls, jetties, dolphins and container pavements
Experience in coastal flood risk assessment, hydrodynamic modelling and/or coastal protection would be beneficial
Ideally have knowledge of government/public contracts and others such as NEC and FIDIC.
Current experience of leading, managing and running, port/marine projects, preferably in the consultancy sector.
Excellent knowledge and experience of current codes of practice and design standards.
Proactive, a good communicator with the ability to lead others in a multi-disciplinary project team.
Excellent level of attention to detail and accuracy.
Strong interpersonal skills, and good written and oral communication skills.
