Role purpose: To develop a defined territory as outlined by the General Manager with total responsibility for sales, debt, margin and profit.
Responsibilities
- Deliver and exceed agreed territory sales, profit and margin targets across the (Marketplace) Foodservice and Retail business.
- Develop the territory by managing a prospect list to secure new customers.
- Drive growth through expanding the range that is currently being supplied to existing accounts.
- Maintain all your accounts within Musgrave MarketPlace agreed credit terms.
- Manage all customer contracts including managing pricing and range to maximise profitability.
- Ensure excellent customer service through friendly, accurate field communication and good administration practices.
- Provide accurate and relevant information on competitor activity and other trade field information to the General Manager & business.
- Ensure the correct product mix in each account thus ensuring maximum profitability.
- Ensure full co-operation via the Territory Telesales Developer, Regional General Managers, and Regional Foodservice Floor Managers etc. to ensure maximum growth in your specific territory.
- Complete all administration as required including Journey plans, Daily Sales Reports, Record Cards and Prospect lists.
Qualifications
- Understanding of the foodservice and retail customer.
- Experience/ knowledge in food industry or in direct foodservice sales (competitors/ range/ customers).
- Proven track record in proactive field sales and achieved targets.
- Professional Selling skills.
- Administration skills, planning and time management skills.
- Forward thinking with the ability to work on own initiative.
- Ability to change, adapt and be flexible.
- Leaving Cert / GCSE.
- Full clean driving licence.
