Immediate Start: Process Simulation Technical Engineer

R.T. Lane Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Process Simulation Technical Engineer to work with a Pharmaceutical Company in Carlow.
This is an 11-month contract with strong potential for extension.

As a Process Simulation Technical Engineer, you’ll support the production of new and existing products by designing and running tests (called process simulations) to ensure everything works smoothly and safely. You’ll work closely with various teams to troubleshoot problems, improve processes, and make sure all work meets strict safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support Production & New Products: Help the manufacturing team with technical guidance, especially when launching new products.
- Plan and Run Simulations: Design, review, approve, and run process simulations to test and improve manufacturing systems.
- Investigate Issues: Analyse and document issues related to process simulations and propose solutions.
- Analyse Data: Review test results and make recommendations based on your findings.
- Drive Improvements: Use Lean Six Sigma tools to streamline processes and make them more efficient.
- Solve Problems: Use methods like root cause analysis (e.g., 5 Whys, Fishbone diagrams) to figure out why equipment or processes fail and propose fixes.
- Manage Changes: Oversee changes to processes and systems to keep them up to date and efficient.
- Work With Teams: Collaborate with colleagues, external vendors, and global teams to share knowledge and ensure smooth operations.
- Ensure Compliance: Follow and enforce strict regulations and quality standards in all tasks.
- Promote Safety: Help maintain a safe and compliant work environment.
What You’ll Need:
Technical Skills:
- Knowledge of manufacturing regulations and standards.
- Experience with sterile filling processes and validation of equipment.
- Familiarity with tools like Microsoft Office and data analysis software.
- Lean Six Sigma experience is a plus.
Personal Skills:
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
- Excellent problem-solving and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, regulated environment.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Experience: 3–5 years of experience in sterile manufacturing, with knowledge of aseptic processes.
