As a Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) Officer, you will play a key role in fostering a culture of safety and compliance across Flogas. Reporting to the HSE Manager, you will be responsible for implementing and maintaining the company’s Health & Safety Management System, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and promoting continuous improvement in safety practices. This role involves working closely with teams across various sites to support a proactive and positive safety culture.

Key Responsibilities:

- Maintain and enhance the Company Safety Management System, ensuring adherence to health and safety policies and procedures.
- Oversee the incident reporting and investigation process, driving root cause analysis and corrective actions.
- Assist in developing and delivering health and safety training programs, including inductions for staff and contractors.
- Prepare and submit regulatory reports to the HSA/CRU and provide monthly/annual HSE reports for shareholders.
- Conduct regular health and safety audits, identifying risks and ensuring compliance with legislation and company standards.
- Manage risk assessment programs and maintain records of safety-critical equipment maintenance and testing.
- Liaise with local regulatory bodies, providing updates and ensuring alignment with compliance requirements.
- Support the HSE Manager in driving improvements in safety performance and culture across the business.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

The ideal candidate will hold a NEBOSH/IOSH Health and Safety qualification (or equivalent) and have a minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar HSE role. The role requires a full driving license for travel between sites.

They will have a strong understanding of Health & Safety legislation and experience with Quality and Safety Management Systems. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential, along with the ability to analyse complex issues and provide practical solutions.

The successful candidate will be proactive, self-motivated, and committed to promoting a positive safety culture within the organisation.
