Environmental Health & Safety / Technical Officer Location: Galco Steel Ltd, Ballymount, Dublin (MondayFriday) Why Join Us Galco is Irelands leading Hot Dip Galvanizing company with five sites nationwide and over 50 years experience. This role offers hands-on work across sites and the chance to support our Decarbonisation Strategy, reducing emissions and improving energy efficiency. The Role Reporting to the Group Operations Manager, you will manage Environmental, Health & Safety systems (ISO 14001, ISO 45001, ISO 50001), ensure compliance with regulations, assist in developing EHS policies, investigate incidents, and provide technical support across all sites. Laboratory work, waste management, and reporting to regulatory bodies (HSA, EPA) are key responsibilities. Key Responsibilities Maintain and audit EHS and Energy Management Systems Lead IPC compliance reporting and emergency response procedures Assist in EHS policy development and monthly H&S reporting Investigate incidents, accidents, and unsafe conditions Liaise with regulatory agencies and support laboratory process controls Assist in the Groups Decarbonisation Strategy Skills & Experience Degree in Environmental Science, Chemistry, Health & Safety, or related field 3+ years relevant experience Experience with regulatory authorities (EPA/HSA) Problem-solving skills and team collaboration Full clean driving licence What We Offer Exposure to diverse projects across multiple sites Contribution to the Groups sustainability and decarbonisation goals Career growth and professional development Training and education assistance Pension scheme Supportive, safety-focused working environment Competitive salary and benefits
