Optum is looking for an experienced, curious and self-motivated individual to join a team that will be responsible to partner with the business, build strong relationships, collaborate on opportunities, and provide subject matter expertise in terms of Reporting, Analytics and Business Intelligence solutions. The successful candidate will contribute bringing reporting solutions to our customers and support our organization creating and maintaining clear, strategic vision and a plan for bringing actionable, innovative analytics and reporting solutions to market. We are looking for people who can collaborate cross-functionally, demonstrate exceptional attention to detail, have proven experience, and the ability to operate flexibly in a rapidly changing work environment.

Primary Responsibilities:

1. Assist the development of reporting solutions to meet customer requirements and needs
2. Ensure the delivery of robust, sustainable and scalable solutions, while engaging with IT and business partners
3. Work with our customers and stakeholders to understand their analytics needs and deliverables, act as consultant, to propose business solutions, product and services to drive change
4. Act as a subject matter expertise regarding Data and Analytics solutions
5. Produce meaningful, actionable reporting and visualization solutions and reports
6. Understand data requirements from customers and provide recommendations
7. Define data models and research, interpret, and analyse diverse and complex data
8. Produce analytical outputs, executive summaries and analytics templates
9. Develop, test and QC data, reports and dashboards
10. Handle customer requests and proactive engage to prevent issues, capture new requirements and propose new solutions and business insights
11. Improve existing data processes and proposing improvements and fixes to data, systems and SW

Required Qualifications:

1. Degree Qualified (BA, BS) in a relevant field (IT/Computer sciences, SW development, Operations, Data Analytics, Data Science, Engineering, Economics, Business) or equivalent experience
2. Proven data and analytics experience, including reporting and Business Intelligence roles
3. Extensive experience in assessing and describing data sources and evaluating data quality
4. Proficient in analysing diverse and complex data, performing exploratory data analysis, producing descriptive statistics, and assessing Data Quality
5. Advanced data manipulation and data modelling skills and proficiency in at least SQL and Excel
6. Very good knowledge of at least one data modelling, scripting or statistical language such as R or Python
7. Excellent data visualization skills and very good knowledge of Tableau SW or Power BI (or similar)
8. Very good understanding of IT systems, databases and other related technologies
9. Strong written and verbal communication skills, presentation skills
10. High proficiency in technical writing and technical documentation
11. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
12. Experience in creating new products and services, or deploying large scale tech solutions

Preferred Qualifications:

1. Master’s, M.B.A., or PhD in a relevant field
2. Business Acumen, customer facing mindset and/or relevant experience
3. Experience in pharmacy benefit management, pharmacy, healthcare consultancy or related fields
4. Experience working in a large multinational company or similar environment
5. Ability to operate flexibly in a rapidly changing work environment
6. Strong organizational skills
7. Knowledge of Project Management methodologies, like PRINCE2
8. Experience working in a customer success team, customer support operations, technical support, or customer service
