Service Manager Required byMurphy Machinery (Kilkenny) Ltd Murphy Machinery (Kilkenny) Ltdis a family-owned company based in Kilkenny. Founded in 1953, they import and distribute agricultural machinery such as spraying and tillage equipment. They also retail on a local basis forklifts and telehandlers. The Opportunity They are currently seeking a Service Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our service and maintenance division in Kilkenny. This is a key leadership role, responsible for ensuring the optimal performance and uptime of our equipment to provide quality service to our customers. While primarily based at our depot, occasional site visits may be required to key customers. Key Responsibilities Manage and lead the Service Team (both field and yard-based) Oversee and create maintenance schedules to ensure minimal equipment downtime of our hire fleet of forklifts and telehandlers Liaise with internal departments (parts and sales etc.), and external contractors, and clients Manage and control departmental budgets and costs Uphold health and safety standards What Were Looking For Proven experience in people and team management Recognised mechanical qualification and/or strong mechanical / electrical / tillage technical skills Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills Proficient in computer use and reporting tools A proactive, solutions-oriented mindset Full, clean driving licence We offer a competitive compensation package, reflective of your experience and expertise.
