BACKGROUND Cricket Ireland is the governing body for the game at both performance and participation levels throughoutall-Ireland,representingtheinterestsofboththemensandwomensgame.CricketIrelandwas awarded ICC Full Membership in 2017. TheIrelandWomensteamhasrecentlybeentothe2023WomensT20WorldCupinSouthAfricaand competeinthe ICCWomens Championship. Cricket Ireland award professionalcontracts (23) across the womens performance programme in various levels and bands. Underpinningourwomensteamisa WomensSuper3s structures;TalentPathwayProgrammeand International Youth teams from under 15 to 19 girls; and a womens development programme. JOB PURPOSE CricketIrelandisseekingafull-timePhysiotherapistfortheirWomensPerformanceprogrammeona full-time temporary basis. The position is headquartered in Dublin, working out of the Sport Ireland Institute in Abbotstown, but the nature of the role demands a national brief across both sides of the border as well as frequent time travelling overseas for periods of up to 3-4 weeks at a time. The positionwillsupport the day to day runningofthe sportsmedicineoperations ofthissquadwith occasional input into our international pathways and Mens senior squad when required whilst collaboratingandworkingundertheCricketIrelandHeadofSportScience,physiotherapyandmedical services (SSSM lead). The successful candidate must be eligible to work in the European Economic Area (EEA)and, if not currently eligible, will need to successfully apply for an appropriate employment permit, which can take up to 3 months. REPORTING and MANAGEMENT The successful candidate will be line-managed by the Head of Sport Science, physiotherapy and medical services but will also have a vital channel of communication into the broader MDT and coaching staff. The nature of the role may necessitate working irregular hours and occasional weekends in line with the requirements of the Ireland Womens performance Squad. Key Responsibilities Deliver high quality physiotherapy and rehabilitation support as well as regular physical profilingtoIrelandWomensperformancesquad (aswellaspathwayplayersandSeniormen squadmembersasrequired)underthedirectionofthe HeadofSportScience,Physiotherapy and Medical Services (SSSM lead). Support the delivery of strategies for player availability under the direction of, and collaboration with the SSSM lead. Supportthedeliveryofspecificperformanceprojectsandinitiativesacrossphysiotherapyand scienceandmedicineincollaborationwiththeSSSMleadandperformanceservicesmanager. Collaborate effectivelywiththeCricketIrelandMDTmembers,to ensureinjurypreventionandrehabilitation programmes are designed and delivered as effectively as possible. Contributetoacultureofworkingwithinthe High-performancedepartmentthatisinclusive, joined up and encourages high levels of effective team working and communication. WorkcloselywiththeStrengthandConditioningteamandcoachestosupportthedeliveryof effective processes regarding workload monitoring, planning and management. Facilitateonwardreferralsfordiagnosticsandspecialistcareforplayerswhenrequired. Travel extensively overseas with the Womens performance squad for training camps and international fixtures Experience Essentials Extensiveexperience of workinginteamsport,preferablyat professionallevelandwithin Cricket.
