IT Support & Infrastructure Engineer – Waterstons

What You’ll Be Doing
This hybrid role combines technical support and infrastructure engineering, based mainly in South Dublin with travel to client sites across Ireland.
As an IT Support & Infrastructure Engineer, you’ll ensure smooth operations for our clients by resolving service desk tickets, providing technical escalation, maintaining robust IT environments and contributing to proactive improvements.
Your Day-to-Day
Provide 1st to 2nd line support and troubleshoot issues across desktop, server and cloud environments.
Support and maintain client IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, storage and cloud platforms.
Deliver proactive and reactive support across multiple client sites.
Ensure security best practices and protect systems against threats.
Collaborate with internal teams for process improvements and documentation.
Communicate clearly and regularly with clients to ensure timely updates and resolutions.
Build trusted relationships with client stakeholders and deliver clear technical advice.
Prioritise workload and incidents following ITIL processes.

Infrastructure: Cisco, HP & Dell Switches, Cisco ASA, VMware, Veeam, Hyper‑V, NAS / SAN storage, Nutanix
Servers: Windows Server, Active Directory, Exchange, SCCM, PowerShell, Linux
Desktops: Windows, MacOS
What We're Looking For
Engaging with strong communication skills and a passion for learning
2+ years of IT experience with solid knowledge across infrastructure and support
Ability to travel to client sites; requires a full clean driving licence and access to a car
Strong problem‑solving skills for complex issues
Customer‑focused with ability to explain tech in plain English
Flexible to travel mainly within South Dublin, with trips further afield as required
